Living & Dining

NUMAEX for Living & Dining

Glass That Belongs Here

The living room moves from morning coffee to evening guests without a renovation. A glass partition between living and dining lets light travel while marking where one use ends and another begins. A flush door between corridor and kitchen disappears when open, reappears when needed.

Specifying for Living & Dining

Key Considerations

01

Zone Definition

Living and dining spaces benefit from visual definition without physical separation. Shoji systems allow zones to be open during entertaining and screened for morning quiet — fully reversible with a single panel motion.

02

Aesthetic Continuity

Glass in open-plan spaces is viewed from every angle under every light condition. The specification must work in direct sun, evening lamplight, and candlelight. Tactile textures perform dramatically in all conditions.

03

Family Safety

Residential glass in family spaces must be fully toughened safety glass meeting BS 6206 Class C or equivalent. NUMAEX recommends 10mm toughened for full-height partitions in family homes.

04

Thermal Performance

Full-height glass partitions must not create cold radiating surfaces in winter. NUMAEX double-glazed partition systems maintain surface temperatures above 15°C at -5°C external ambient.
