Crafting Light, Shaping Ambience
TACTILE is NUMAEX's range of kiln-formed textured architectural glass — surfaces shaped by heat, not cutting.
The Tactile Collection
TACTILE is NUMAEX's range of kiln-formed textured architectural glass — surfaces shaped by heat, not cutting. Each of the eight patterns is pressed against precision-milled steel molds at 700°C, creating permanent three-dimensional relief that becomes part of the glass structure itself. The result is a surface that is fade-proof, abrasion-resistant, and impossible to replicate by mechanical means.
Textured glass behaves differently from clear glass in every light condition. The relief depth determines whether the surface scatters softly or redirects directionally — giving architects and designers nuanced control over ambience, privacy, and spatial character at any time of day. TACTILE glass provides visual screening at close range while allowing full light transmission, eliminating the need for additional frosting or film treatment.
The eight patterns span the full register of visual character — from the bold interlocking geometry of Coco Chevron and the intricate jaali lattice of Indian Meadows, to the organic softness of Clover and the celestial rhythm of Million Moons. All patterns are available in Clear, Grey, and Bronze Tinted glass, with Frosted or Custom Colour finishes. Custom pattern development is available for landmark projects — NUMAEX manufactures bespoke molds from architectural drawings.
